The pandemic forced this couple to claim their dining table as their office more often than they would have liked. Now back to work in the office they wanted to reclaim this space as their dining and gathering space. Their existing sliding glass doors needed replacing so we took this opportunity to explore different ways to utilize the back wall of their home and connecting the kitchen to the dining room, by exchanging the back door closet for full height pantry storage. Ultimately, we ended up shrinking the new set of doors by a few inches and moving them over in order to install a full wall of cabinetry in the dining room. The resulting cabinetry gives them both display space and concealed storage to suit all of their needs. This space is now a great place to host friends and family and *occasionally* sit down for an afternoon of working from home.
